One of the Top 10 New Year\’s Resolutions is to how to reduce belly fat.

Indeed, stubborn belly fat continues to be stubbornly stuck in the Top 10 New Year\’s Resolutions list for a lot of people.

Now most people will say lose weight in their new year\’s resolutions. However, I would rather say lose that stubborn belly fat instead. Why? Because there is no way you will have abs if you are unfit. You will get better results by focussing your effort on removing that stubborn belly fat and for sure, you will lose weight in the process too.

So you may ask the question then – \”Can I really remove \”reduce belly fat\” from my list of Top 10 New Year\’s Resolutions?\”

Well the answer is an absolute yes…

You need three steps. These are Mindset (M), Nutrition(N) and Workouts (W) in the order of priority. I called it the MNW principle.

The first one is the most important step – Mindset. Most people failed to reduce belly fat and remove it from their Top 10 New Year\’s Resolutions list because they fail in this step.

Go ahead and do this now:

1.Imagine exactly what you want (such as how energized you want to feel, how you want your body to look etc)

2.Have a burning desire to do the things you are going to do

3.Make a list of very specific things that you need to target (time to set aside for workouts, when to achieve your goals, dietary changes you need to make)

4.Sincerely trust that you can complete what you set out to do

The next step is proper nutrition. If you want to get rid of belly fat, this is where you want to focus a lot of your energy on. Why? Simple. If you put trash into your body, there is no miracle workout that can take them out of your body!

The best thing you can do about nutrition is to eat natural foods.

Processed foods are the culprits in bad nutrition. Just eat natural foods like fresh vegetables and fruits, nuts and meats.

Anything that is processed, even if they are labelled \”health foods\” are to be avoided as much as possible. These so called \”health foods\” may be labelled diet, low-fat, low sugar and slim but there is really not as healthy as they are made out to be.

Most importantly of course, avoid fast foods. Also read food labels when you are shopping for groceries and don\’t buy anything with transfats in it.

Seventy percent of the battle is done if you take care of your nutrition. Now comes the comparatively easier part – the workout. However, let\’s adjust your understanding of what constitutes a good workout.

Most people have the mistaken idea that a great workout means long cardio exercises. Heck most fitness trainers told you so too. However, long cardios are not the ideal workout if you want to lose fat, which is what you need to do if you want to reduce belly fat. Cardios gives you constant heart rate which is not good for burning fat. You need workouts that give you a range of heart rates instead.

I give you an example of a great fat burning exercise. If you do a quick round of skipping for say 30 seconds, slow down to recover your breath and go at it again, you will lose way more fat then long hours of cardio. And the best part is you only need ten to 15 minutes of this intense workout to burn fat and get rid of belly fat.

One of the reasons many people failed to remove their stubborn fat is because they got bored with the workouts. Don\’t keep doing the same exercises all the time. Inject variety in your routines. Change skipping to swimming or sprinting or cycling. Variety means fun and fun means you will enjoy your workouts and make working out a habit.

How To Get a Six Pack in a Month – The Truth Is, It Will Take Longer

Okay, so you want to know how to get a six pack in a month. Is it really possible to get your abdominals that toned so quickly? The thing about six pack abs is that everyone seems to want them but so few people are actually willing to do what it takes to get them. The thing is everyone has abdominal muscles, but for most of us they are covered by a layer of fat. The truth is your abs won’t show unless your body fat is less that 10% (15% for women).

So, the approach you need to take towards getting rid of belly fat is to think in terms of reducing your body’s oevrall fat percentage. But in order to do this, you first need to know what your body fat percentage is at the moment. You can have a personal trainer or doctor measure this for you, or you can get a body composition monitor.

Once you’ve found out what your current percentage is, you can then calculate the amount of weight you need to get rid of to be able to get yourself to your ideal fat level.

As an example, let’s use 200 pounds as your current body weight, and 20% as your current body fat percentage. If you wanted to get down to 9% body fat, you would do the following calculation:

* 0.2 (20%) – 0.09 (9%) = 0.11

* Add 1 to this = 1.11

* 200 divided by 1.11 = 180 pounds (ideal body weight)

So, in order to lose that amount of body fat, you will need to reduce your overall body weight by 20 pounds. However, there is one key thing you must keep in mind: This must be done slowly, for example over 20 or more weeks, with good nutrition and good exercises. If you try to do it any faster than that, you will only mess up your metabolism, which will cause you more weight problems in the long-term.

It’s so silly that it’s a joke. Almost everyone on this planet has said these words at least once in their life time “Aaargh! I need to lose fat! I look fat!” But if you look at it we don’t actually do anything to drop off all that baby fat! But no matter, how Many diet books we read, or diet tips we pick up, you will not lose any fat unless in reality you try to motivate yourself to commit to your diet.

Motivation is the key to any task. You may not like dieting, or exercise and unless you motivate yourself to lose fat you are not going to get anywhere. Recollect that life is short and it’s something you should enjoy when you are youthful.
